You can use this booklet to help support you in caring for a young person with asthma. This booklet will:

  • Help you guide your child or young person through their journey with asthma
  • Teach them how to take care of their health

There are also resources available for young people with asthma to use themselves.

If your child or the young person in your care has any side effects, talk to their doctor, nurse or pharmacist. This includes any possible side effects not listed in the Patient Information Leaflet. You can also report side effects directly via the Yellow Card
Scheme website: www.mhra.gov.uk/yellowcard. By reporting side effects, you can help provide more information on the safety of medicines.
